Trail of Crumbs by Kim Sunée

I'm going to start reading Kim Sunée's Trail of Crumbs: Hunger, Love, and the Search for Home today because of the following blurb on its book jacket:

"Trail of Crumbs reminds me of what heavily costumed and concealed waifs we all are. Kim Sunée tells us so much about the French that I never learned in 25 trips to Paris, but mostly about the terrors and pleasure of that infinite octopus, love. A fine book." - Jim Harrison

I don't know anything about Jim Harrison and I don't really care about being a heavily costumed and concealed waif, but I'm eager to experience Paris via this book. It feels like a great personal failure that I've never managed to set foot in that city. Someday I will. I hope.

Hey, Does our francophile friend Sandra G. know about this book? I'll direct her to this fine blog.

Why, thank you hoofbeats. The book is new and actually the author is going to stop by this blog soon for an interview. I'm sure she'll have lots of interesting things to say about writing memoir.
