Attention: Antiques Roadshow

We found these vessels in the barn. Anybody guess as to their vintage and original uses?

Are you in maple country? My first guess would be that they're for syruping.

Maybe so. I like that idea better than that they're big tubs of butter.

Crocks like the ones on the left I think were often used for brining and other storing/preserving, like salting. Not sure about the jugs. The Keno bro's on AR got their collecting start with this stuff--it's called salt glazed stoneware. Check this out.
