Second Guessing My Glasses

Glasses Under Consideration - View 1

Current Glasses

I know there are more important things to worry about in the world, but what do you think of this other pair of glasses? I See GB let me bring them home to show Dave and he's not home yet. I brought a friend into the shop this afternoon for a second opinion and she said she liked my current pair better. She thought the other ones look the same only more boring. I still think they might be better, though -- less severe, more subtle in their charm. They are also on sale...just $99...but my new progressive lens prescription is expensive, so if you're not impressed with them, please speak up.

they are nice and $99 is a good price. Color is more neutral, maybe useful. You could buy now and put lenses in later when you have more $$. I like them as much, not better than current ones.

I used to go to an eyeglass place in NYC that had a camera and tv set. They took pictures of you in various glasses and then you could put your real ones on and look at the tv screen to see what the other ones looked like. Very cool. I suggested that to the I See GB guys but they didn't seem impressed. But if you're like me and can't see without your glasses, making these decisions is a nightmare. But then you already know that, right?

Only one blog reader weighed in solidly in favor of the new glasses and Dave and Annalena both say thumbs down. Since it's not a slam dunk love connection, I'm sticking with what I've got for now.

I am glad to finally have met you, Gina. Our Guido's gig went well (with my pint size marketing director).

Great meeting you, Bonnie. And I was pleasantly surprised by that agave sweet.

Love the specs. Very attention-grabbing and modernist...ish.

I want to hear more about project sprout!! Your tweets are teasing...it looks so exciting. I'd like to hear your opinion on greater implementation. What do we need to do in other towns to take from a model?
